The Cheapest Way to Detox
Updated: Mar 13, 2020
What does it mean to detox anyway? It’s another word for cleansing the body. Cleansing the body of toxins we ingest. The body does an amazing job of doing this on its own. The problem is that we hinder that natural process by the things we consume daily.
Lets start with why people choose to detox:
1- Feeling of bloating & gut discomfort
2- Loose weight
3- Kick start a new diet
4- Heard it was a miracle cure
All valid reasons except maybe for #4. Detoxing the body is very beneficial. It is a super star at reducing bloating & gut discomfort. You will also notice weight loss due to less water retention & less inflammation.
There is no need for special teas, shakes or potions. The cheapest way to detox naturally is to STOP 🛑 ingesting toxins into your body. It will take effort & planning but the way you will feel will be well worth it.
Eliminate the following:
❌ All sugar & sugar substitutes
❌ Coffee
❌ All processed foods - if it comes in a package & it has a long list of ingredients it’s considered processed. No bacon or sausage.
❌ No grains - foods made from wheat, rice, oats, barley or cornmeal. Ex: bread, pasta, cereals, grits & tortillas
❌ Do not cook with vegetable oils. BIG No No! This includes EVOO. Use EVOO for salad dressing or marinating, not for cooking
You’re probably saying “What can I eat then?” or “There’s no way I can do without this or that.” Don’t talk yourself out of it already. Start slowly with one to two days then progressively increase it until you can complete a full 10 days.
So what CAN you eat?
✅ Water & water with lemon
✅ Whole Foods: such as fresh fruits, vegetables (not frozen), chicken, turkey, beef (grass fed preferably), eggs (pasture raised preferably), fish (not farm raised preferably). cook with Ghee or coconut oil instead of a vegetable oil.
✅ Carbs all day long! Detox friendly carbs that is! Fresh vegetables such as broccoli, green beans, kale, spinach, zucchini, cauliflower, etc.. No sweet potato or beans
✅ Fats are good. Try avocados, nuts (raw), EVOO, fatty fish like salmon, ghee, coconut oil & whole eggs
Another way you can help your body detoxify naturally is by sweating. If you have access to a sauna work your way up 20 - 30 minutes two to three times a week. No sauna? No problem:
- Go for a walk in layered winter clothes
- Perform cardio in sweat pants & a sweater
- Go for a bike ride
- I think you get it, just sweat

Start slow and work your way up to 10 days. You will feel rejuvenated! Detoxifying naturally has numerous health benefits. Begin by eliminating the toxins going into your body. Then replace them with foods that will help you eliminate the existing toxins naturally.
What now? Take these action steps:
🏃🏻♀️ Print the list of foods you CAN ingest or write it down and go to the grocery store
